Grizzly Timber Works is a family run woodworking shop. We rescue Australian hardwood from local arborists, mill it on our own sawmill and shape it into one-off pieces for your home or business.
Salvaged hardwood, given a second life. No two pieces the same.
Most of our timber was headed for the firewood pile.
We give it a second life instead, as a table, a bench or a shelf that outlives all of us.

How a tree becomes your table
Every piece can be traced from the tree it came from to the room it ends up in. Here is the short version.
Salvaged
We take in timber from local arborists, trees that were already coming down. Nothing is felled just for us. The character in each board is the story of the tree it came from.
Milled
We cut and dry every board on our own sawmill, so we know exactly what we are working with. Owning the mill means we control the grain, the thickness and the finish from the very first cut.
Crafted
Then we design and build it by hand into a piece made to last for generations. You tell us what you are after, we work out how the timber wants to be used and the two meet in the middle.

We are a family that loves making things. Every piece that leaves the shop carries a bit of that with it.
We started Grizzly Timber Works to do timber properly, the slow way. We are passionate about creating unique pieces that bring warmth and character to your home or business. We would rather build one thing well than a hundred things in a hurry.
